ZAMFARA STATE GOVT TREATS 200 MENTALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS.
Zamfara State Government has facilitated the treatment of over 200 less privileged persons with mental illness since the assumption of office by Governor Bello Mohammed in June last year.
This was disclosed by the Imam Bashir Sirajo Gusau, Executive Secretary Zakkat and Endowment Board in the state.
He spoke during the presentation of cash donations to some selected orphans by a Saudi Arabia based Islamic organisation, the World Muslim League.
The Executive Secretary said the state Government ordered for the register of those who have mental challenges and are not privileged to sponsor or get sponsorship for treatment which the Government fully took responsibility.
“So far, 200 of those registered have been treated and we extend the glory of this to God”, Alhaji Sirajo added.
