ZAMFARA BUDGETS N1. 2 BILLION FOR CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS
Zamfara State 2020 Appropriation Bill consists of constituency projects of N50 million for each of the 24 Assembly Members in the State.
This was disclosed by the state Governor, Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) while signing the bill into Law today.
Governor Matawalle also charged the members of the Assembly to institute oversight functions in all sectors in the state to ensure probity and compliance to the bill.
He called on members of the Assembly and all other elected and appointed officials to ensure that they support the less privileged in the society because that is one of their unwritten obligations.
“I will personally monitor your compliance to the support I urge you to do. Your appointments are less valuable to the common man if you cannot extend your personal assistance to alleviate some of their personal problems” Governor Matawalle posited.
He promised to ensure strict compliance to the law and assured that all parts of the state will feel the impact of the budget.
