Following the dethronement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and his banishment to Nasarawa State, Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi and the son of the late Emir Ado Bayero has emerged as the new Kano Emir.

This was officially announced in the presence of the Kano Emirate kingmakers and other stakeholders at Ante Chamber, Government House, Kano.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji made the announcement Monday, hours after Muhammadu Sanusi ll was dethroned.

Alhaji said the appointment was in line with the provision of Kano state Emirate Council Law 2019. “Sect hiion 11 (1) of the Law has empowered the governor to appointment Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the emir of Kano,” he said.
