COVID-19: OGUN GROUP LAUDS GOV DAPO ABIODUN FOR APPRECIATING TITI OSENI-GOMEZ

A Socio-Cultural group in Ogun State, Egbe Omo Ogun Rere (EOOR), has described Governor Dapo Abiodun’s commendation of its Chairman and former speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Titi Oseni – Gomez, for releasing her private facility as COVID -19 isolation centre, as laudable and a welcome development.
Governor Dapo Abiodun had, in a COVID – 19 press briefing and updates which was held on 8th May, 2020, commended the chairperson of EOOR for releasing her private event centre facility to the state as isolation centre.
EOOR in a statement released by its Publicity Secretary, Omooba Segun Adewale, described the development as a show of appreciation and patriotism on the part of the governor and Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni- Gomez.
Adewale said the governor’s acknowledgement of Mrs Titi Gomez’s gesture shows how appreciative he was for getting individual and corporate supports needed to build our dear State. “The governor’s appreciation also speaks volume about his personality.” He stated.
He further said members of the EOOR were not surprised to have learned about the act of patriotism and gesture displayed by their selfless leader; since she has always been known for doing wonderful and humanitarian deeds on many occasions.
Adewale added that the spirit behind the former speaker’s gesture is the same as the modus operandi behind the existence and running of Egbe Omo Ogun Rere, which has its members spread across the three senatorial district of the state.
Recently, members of EOOR distributed over 3,000 3KG packaged rice to indigent citizens during the ongoing lockdown in other to bring relief to the indigents and vulnerable that are being faced with the present tough situation.
Adewale concluded that the state and citizens should look forward to lots of goodies that will bring about the socio-economic development of Ogun State as she continues to steer the ship of EOOR.
