His Excellency, the Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON (Shattiman Sakkwato) has today distributed a total of 104 brand new Hyundai cars purchased by his administration to judiciary staff including Chief Registrars, members of the Judicial Service Commission, Magistrates, and Sharia Court Judges.
The distribution was performed by the Attorney-General of the federation and Minister of Justice, Barr. Abubakar Malami SAN who was Special Guest at the event which is part of many activities lined up for the second year anniversary of the Matawalle-led administration in the state.
The governor said the gesture is aimed at easing the transportation needs of the beneficiaries and to ensure service delivery especially in the quick dispensation of justice thereby eliminating unnecessary delays at the courts throughout the state.
He also observed that it is in recognition of the exalted position of the judiciary in a liberal democratic tradition, particularly its being an independent government arm that works in the same spirit as the executive and legislative arms to ensure good governance.
Matawalle expressed his leadership resolve to dearly uphold the sanctity of the judiciary as a vital instrument in the dispensation of justice and an interpreter of our constitution.
He noted that like all true democracies, his administration is determined to continue to work towards maintaining the independence and efficiency of the judiciary and promote its capacity for quick adjudication as a beacon of hope to the common man.
Similarly, the Shattiman Sakkwato led the minister to the commissioning of the Presidential Lodge which is housed within the perimeters of the Government House, initiated and fully completed by his administration along side other projects including 18 executive chalets and renovation of the Government House, all at the cost of N2,182,999,856.12.
