A Chairmanship aspirant of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, Hon Akinwumi Bayoade has alleged that the incumbent council chairman of the LCDA, Hon Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu forged her GCE result dated June 1987 with Certificate number, NGSG 045349A and submitted the false educational qualification as evidence of her eligibility to contest the forthcoming Local Government elections.
Bayoade who also served as Supervisory Councillor for Health under the Adu led administration in a statement made available to Lagos Panorama said that the forged GCE result was to substantiate her claim of the purportedly attendance of Lagos State University (LASU).
The statement further read that “she claimed to have attended Lagos State University (LASU) but in actual fact she didn’t have the prerequisites qualification for admission into the said University and she never attended the school”.
He mentioned that she actually has three subjects at credit level in her WAEC held in May/June 1987 with candidate number 15559043, when the minimum entry requirement for degree course in LASU is five credits including English and Mathematics.
To substantiate his claim the chairmanship aspirant also forwarded both the WAEC and GCE results to Lagos Panorama as a proof to challenge his boss.
He also complained of threat to his life by some thugs and miscreants loyal and working for the council chairman, that they asked him to desist from contesting the result of the party’s primary election.
Bayode in a phone chat with Lagos Panorama said “We also have every information, knowledge and facts in evidence of what Rasheedat Adu submitted as educational certificates in 2017, which is deficient, as to how she claim to be a product of LASU with O’ Level certificate number NGSG 0453489 and candidate No: 15559043, how did she got admission into the university which she claimed to have attended, even though we know the constitutional requirement is just a sitting for O’ Level, even without a credit to contest this election, but when forgery and perjury is involved, this called for questioning. This is why Rasheedat has continued to threaten me with death in desperation through her cult boys imported to Iru – Victoria Island LCDA” he affirmed.
“As a foundation member of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in 1998 Action Congress, Action Congress of Nigeria and now All Progressives Congress (APC) it is my desire therefore to exhaust all avenue to seek justice, fairness, peace and redress”.
“Silence can no longer be said to be golden when it is full of anticipated answers, and especially with threat to my life”.
He also averred “That’s why in the entire Old Eti-osa it’s only in Iru V.I . LCDA that Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) have flown a candidate for LG election to capitalize on her flaws legally, the party just have to do the right thing now” Hon Bayode concluded.
The Council Chairman in her response through a phone chat with Lagos Panorama to the allegation of falsification of the GCE result and if she attended LASU, denied the allegations.
She said “thanks, but they are all false allegations, they can go to the school to verify” she stated.
“I did International Relations and Strategic Studies” the council boss asserted.
Hon Adu emerged as the APC candidate after the party’s primaries conducted 29th May, as the Chairmanship candidate for Iru/ Victoria Island LCDA for the July 24th Lagos Council Elections to be conducted by the Lagos State Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
