GOVERNOR MATAWALLE MOURNS THE DEATH OF THE STATE AUDITOR GENERAL ALI ABDULLAHI IBRAHIM.
His Excellency, the Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON (Shattiman Sakkwato) today mourns the death of the state Auditor General who passed away in the early hours of today at a private hospital in Abuja as a result of a brief illness
Governor Matawalle who was devastated by the sad news of the death described it as a great loss to his government, considering the role played by the late State Auditor General especially during the state verification excercise that saw the total cleaning of ghost workers in the state civil service payroll.
He described the late Auditor General as hardworking and honest civil servant who contributed immensely to the development of Zamfara state in different capacities.
Immediately after he was informed about the death, Governor Matawalle directed his personal physician to arrange for the conveyance of the corpse to his home town, Tsafe through the government house ambulance along with a state government delegation that will ensure proper arrangements of his burial according to Islamic rites.
The governor who attended the funeral prayer of the deceased that held at the emir of Tsafe’s Palace prayed Almighty Allah to reward him with Jannatul Firdaus and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss
Governor Matawalle was represented at funeral prayer by the Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Maazu Magarya and the Secretary to Zamfara State Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe
The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Mus’ab bin Umairin Juma’at Mosque, Tsafe, Liman Ibrahim Aliyu and was attended by the Emir of Tsafe Alhaji Muhammad Bawa, Chairman Local Government Service Commission Alhaji Haruna Salau Tsafe and Special Adviser on Security Matters DIG Ibrahim Mamman Tsafe among others
Condoling the Emir of Tsafe shortly after the funeral rites, the governor said it is very painful to loss an illustrious son who is outstanding in bringing assistance to his people urging the emir and the deceased immediate family to take heart and pray for his departed soul
Responding on behalf of the Tsafe Emirate Council and the deceased family, Speaker Nasiru Muazu Magarya thanked the governor for the concern and care shown to them and prayed Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly
