Prowess University, an American university of higher learning, has today, conferred on Hon. Dr. Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, the award of Doctor of Philosophy degree in Political Science (Honours Causa) for his exemplary leadership role and quality service delivery both in public and private life.
The award conferment ceremony took place at the University of Abuja with other eminent Nigerians amongst whom are a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Hellen Taiwo-Adebakin and Hon Rita Orji, being part of the awardees.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Award Selections Committee, Professor Chidi Justice, had said Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu was singled out as a proponent of National Development, Humanitarianism and Transformational Leadership, adding that he remains a beacon of hope to the underprivileged in the society.
He further said Hon. Adebutu’s nomination was unanimously endorsed by the advisory board of Prowess’ Nigerian-Partner Institution, the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies and the Award Selections Committee.
Receiving the award on behalf of Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, Omooba Segun Adewale frpa, thanked the university management and said the honour will spur honourable Oladipupo to pursue more developmental strides in the society in order to justify the confidence repose on him by different stratum of the society.
The event took place during IAMPS Induction and Leadership Summit, with the theme: “Socio Cultural Renaissance, Political Enlightenment and Advocacy; A Panacea to Leadership Growth and Economic Stability.
Honourable Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, is the Chief Executive Officer, Solomon Kesington Adebutu Agro-allied Limited (SKAAL), and a leading Governorship Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
In 2015, he was a member of the 8th National Assembly under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), after he was elected to represent Sagamu/Ikenne/Remo North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Before now, he holds two Honourary Doctorate degrees, and he’s a Fellow-member of the
Chartered Institute Of Local Government And Public Administration Of Nigeria (CILGPAN).
