BREAKING NEWS: SUPREME COURT SUSPENDES CBN’s NAIRA REDESIGN POLICY

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has today , 8th February, 2023, restrained the Federal Government from implementing the February 10 Deadline for the old 200, 500, and 1000 Naira notes to stop being legal tender.

Following the outcry by Nigerians, especially the downtroddened, who have been subjected to untold hardship given the scarcity of the newly designed Naira and its attending difficulties on every aspect of livelihood in the country, the governors of the ruling APC had approached the President, to intervene on the issue, by probably extending the due date for which the old notes will seize to be a legaltender, to ameliorate the suffering of the masses.
