His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor,Hon Dr Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun) today played host to orphans to celebrate Sallah with them at the Gusau amusement park in order to make them happy and feel relevant in the society
Governor Matawalle said orphans deserved all the necessary attention, love, encouragement and assistance from the state government and other concerned bodies and individuals considering their position in the society.
He promised his administration’s determination to improve the living standards of all orphans and the less privileged children educationally and socially so that they can become useful to the society.
Matawalle added that his decision to celebrate Sallah with the State orphans is to make them feel the same way parented children feel and celebrate Sallah and other festivities.
He called on the people of the State to support the government in improving the living conditions of the orphans in the State including sponsoring them to acquire western and Islamic knowledge at all levels of education in the country.
Earlier in her speech the State first lady Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle said she was part of the event to celebrate the Sallah with the orphans in recognition of the need attributable to child upbringing and training to be of good character.
She donated food items and snacks to the children’s amazement.
Hajiya Aisha also urged them to consider her as their mother and expressed her readiness to provide them with all the necessary human needs.
