NIGERIAN PRESIDENT COMMENDS ZAMFARA GOVERNOR OVER COOPERATION IN TACKLING INSECURITY

President Muhammadu Buhari today, received his Nigerian counterpart, President Mohammed Bazoum on a State Visit to Nigeria where the two leaders held bilateral talks at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

During his visit the Nigerian president commended Governor Muhammad Bello Matawallen of Zamfara State over his collaboration with Niger Republic in tackling insecurity in Nigeria and neighboring countries.

The Nigerian leader visited Nigeria for the second time since his election in February 2021. The two leaders deliberated on how best to tackle security challenges affecting the sub-region.

The visiting president was also hosted for lunch by President Muhammadu Buhari, attended by Governors of Jigawa, Zamfara, Kebbi and the Acting Governor of Kano State, ministers and other top government officials.
