Governor Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) has returned to Gusau and resumed Work amidst jubilation, after weeks of official engagements abroad.
Governor Matawalle who was accorded a tumultuous welcome on Sunday passed through Tsafe, Yandoto, Kwatarkwashi, Damba and into Gusau City through surging group of exited Youth who spent hours waiting for his triumphant arrival.
Elated Governor Matawalle could not help emerging through the open roof of his car to acknowledge cheers from supporters who shouted their total support to his administration’s policies and programmes.
The Youth, carrying different types of placards with inscriptions such as, “carry on with the good work”, “we are in total support of Matawalle” and “Zamfara sai Dodo”, also chanted songs of praise, with some modern drummers busy drumming melodies of political support until he retires home.
Governor Matawalle on Monday emerged in his office as early as 9:00am only to be sieged by a grand display of a grand guard of honour at the gate of the Government House by the Nigeria Police in a colourful display of marching artistry.
While urging everyone to be more committed to re-building efforts, Governor Matawalle thanked all the citizens of Zamfara for the show of love and support to his administration and promised to work harder for a better, more peaceful and virile Zamfara State.
