0

Seven staff of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on their way to make arrangements for the forthcoming entry examinations into tertiary institutions, have been abducted.

It is not exactly clear where the staff were blocked and picked by the kidnappers, but it is speculated they were on their way to one of the southern States when they were abducted somewhere around the Cement town of Obajana, Kogi State, where Dangote Cement has one of its largest factories in Africa.

A senior official of the examination body confirmed the unfortunate incident exclusively to Nigeria Everyday but would not give details.

JAMB spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, was not available for official comments.

Details are sketchy, but Nigeria Everyday gathered that the JAMB management was making efforts to reach out to family members of the kidnapped staff, while security agencies have been duly informed.

Details soon…
