STAKEHOLDERS FORMALLY RE-ENDORSE MATAWALLE’s PEACE PROCESS IN THE STATE.

Stake holders who include all security operatives, traditional ruling council and the Council of Ulama have risen from a one day stakeholders meeting with total endorsement of Governor Matawalle’s peace process which has so far brought semblance of peace in the state.

The meeting which reviewed the security situation in the state gave every stake holder to make his candid contribution on the situation in the state and suggest wether the peace process was desirable or otherwise. This comes at the behest of recent nasty media campaigns seeking to demonize the peace process adopted by the administration of Matawalle in June 2019.

Governor Matawalle who. In his opening remarks, lamented the sad development was exceptional with the allegation that the peace process was giving cover and tacit support to the bandits in the state which he described as uncharitable allegation and trumped-up charge to undermine and frustrate the efforts of the Government in its avowed attempt to deal with the menace of banditry and other crimes in the stare.

Of significance is the contribution of the Military who said the security situation in the state is such intricate that it can only genuinely succeed with the peace process in place.
