GOVERNOR MATAWALLE VISITS POLICE TROOPS ON ADMISSION AT YARIMAN BAKURA SPECIALIST HOSPITAL WHO WERE ATTACKED BY BANDITS AT KURAR MOTA

His Excellency, the Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON (Shattiman Sakkwato) has today visited the federal troops victims of kurar Mota Village of Bungudu local government who came under fire following an ambush staged by the criminals against the security personnel.

It was on receipt of the news of the unfortunate incident that the governor who directed for the evacuation of the 13 slain policemen and the seven others who were wounded to the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau that he immediately rushed to the hospital to sympathize with those currently receiving treatment at the facility.

The Shattiman Sakkwato while lamenting over the attack, assured to partner with security agencies in the state to track down the attackers and all their sponsors and collaborators with a view to bring them to book.

The police officers were ambush at a mobile police camp at Kurar Mota area as part of measures taken by government to fight bandits activities in the state.

Matawalle who was highly devastated by the sad incident said the troops are doing very well at the war front in the fight against the bandits in the area which had decimated the number of the insurgents provides positive results and hope in the area.

Meanwhile, the governor who had earlier scheduled an APC stakeholders’ meeting aimed at discussing unity among party members and supporters, and by extension, the people of the state, has put off the meeting noting that the issue of the attack will be his major priority until the perpetrators are apprehended or a good level of success towards their arrest is achieved.
