As he concluded arrangements to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP, former Zamfara Gov Abdulazisz Yari vowed to teach President Muhammadu Buhari a lesson of his life during the 2023 general elections.
A closed ally of the former governor who pleaded anonymity for security reasons, revealed to this online news medium that the former governor promised to restore Mouktar Idris Kogunan Gusau his mandate which he accused the President of snatching during the 2019 elections.
The source said already Yari has purchased all the elective positions ranging from the state to national assemblies and governor, which he had to pay 350 million naira to the PDP national chairman Iyorchia Ayu and the deal has already been sealed between them.
The source said Yari was invited by the APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu for dialogue and reconciliation, but Uari rejected the offer, saying since Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima visited him, he would not losyen to him, insisting that he will teach Buhari a lesson.
It may be recalled that recently, Senate President Ahmed Lawan Ibrahim also visited Yari to convince him to drop his intention to join the PDP, but rejected the offer as well.
Pur source however revealed that blows were nearly exchanged between Col Bala Mande rtd, the Zamfara state PDP chairman and Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura, a very closed ally of Yari at the national headquarters of the PDP.
Our source also revealed that Col Bala Mande rtd was upset by the attack from Sen Kaura who accused the retired Col of anti- party during the 2019 election, revealing that Col Mande received from him the sum of 70 million naira to allow him win the senatorial election for Zamfara north, which lead Senator Sahabi Yau Kaura to loose in the election.
Meanwhile Mahdi Aliyu Gusau is vehemently rejecting Yari proposal, saying even Gen Gusau, his father could not stop him from the race of governorship in the 2023 election.
Flowing the crisis within the party which threatened the national chairman Iyorchia Ayu for motot – gaging the PDP to Yari, leading to the party emergency stakeholders meeting to consider appropriate action against the national chairman.
